Ephesians 6:4 - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
The Church of Christ at Dale City values its youth and knows the importance of teaching our children to learn about God, his Son, and his teachings within the Bible.
Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." On Sunday mornings we offer bible classes for every age group starting as early as one years old with our Cradle Roll class.
There are many activities that we have initiated to encourage fellowship and fun amongst our youth such as outings/field trips in the DMV area (e.g. the Pumpkin Patch, baseball games, and bowling to name a few), theme based gatherings in our Fellowship Hall, and lock-in/sleepovers. Many activities include a devotional, a Bible-based lesson that is used to encourage and guide them in the daily walk.
Our youth ministry is also a vital part of the Dale City family.
We reach out and encourage our youth to develop and prepare themselves for the future, in the church and in the world.
We have volunteer members, who assist our Youth Leader with activities for our young people which included mentoring in leadership training; youth trips; sponsors and hosts for youth devotionals and various activities.
The youth of the Church of Christ at Dale City will once again participate in the The Eastern Region Leadership Training for Christ (ERLTC) this year. which will take place in April 2017 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
ERLTC recognizes that the youth are the future leadership of the church and it is our responsibility as adults to prepare them both for leadership within the church and in the world.
The Vision of ERLTC is putting Christ back in our culture. To achieve this Vision, ERLTC has the Mission of helping kids discover their God given talents, then helping them use their talents to serve God and mankind.
